100WC – Rapunzel

100 WC, Writing

There were once two cruel parents who sold their daughter to a lovely fairy for some roses.

Rapunzel was an ugly baby, and the fairy wanted to keep her in a tower so that no one would see the revolting sight. But the fairy loved her as her own and cared for her, using her outrageously long hair as a rope when she needed to get up to the tower.

Though Rapunzel’s singing was gorgeous and so one day, when a peasant boy was trudging along with his dung pail, he heard her lovely singing and decided to sit beside the tower for a while when he saw the fairy walk up to the tower and call, “Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let your hair down!” His head jerked in her direction, mesmerized at the beauty of the fairy. Her golden locks, her big, blue eyes and the beautiful gown she was wearing, quite his style!

And so, the next day, the boy went up to the tower and called, “Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let your hair down!” The wiry, greasy red locks tumbled down the side of the tower, and he climbed up. Long story short, he fell in love with the fairy, dressed up as a prince, married her, sold the tower, bought a mansion with the fairy’s money and killed Rupunzel in her sleep by “accident” because she was so ugly.
